Kingdom Vision

We just received this word from George Markakis

God wants us to have a Kingdom vision for our life!

Rosh Hashanah (Head of the Year; Hebrew New Year) is coming soon!

25 Sept 2014 – Feast of Trumpets (head of the Hebrew calendar year)

10 days to ask the Lord for His Vision for our lives/future

When we know which way we are heading, we are motivated to keep walking and to stay with discipline on the right path/direction.

When we don’t know where we are going, we shall never get there!

Our God is a God of Vision!

John 4:35 “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and [then] comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!

He warns us that people who do not have a vision, they perish. That is the wording of the KJV translation. NKJV adds more insight:

Prov 29:18 Where [there is] no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy [is] he who keeps the law.

When we have the revelation of God’s vision for our lives, then we are motivated to be disciplined (maintaining the restraints needed) in order to keep moving in God’s direction, so that we may embrace/accomplish His vision for/through our lives

My vision vs God’s Vision

Eccl. 5:3 ust as dreams come when there are many cares, o the rash vow of a fool occurs when there are many words.

What keeps our mind very busy, on the basis of our daily cares, will produce dreams/visions of its own – which we may confuse as to be God’s vision(s) for us. If/when we are too busy, our mouth speaks out of the abundance of our heart, and we may rush into decisions, promises, and actions which are all misguided on the basis of our daily cares.

God’s vision is different than our vision! God’s vision does not come by looking at the circumstances of the natural world around us, but by looking up to Him from whom Kingdom Vision descends.

Lot’s vision vs God’s Vision

Gen 13:10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it [was] well watered everywhere (before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.

11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.

12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched [his] tent even as far as Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom [were] exceedingly wicked and sinful against the LORD.

14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are–northward, southward, eastward, and westward;

15 “for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.

16 “And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, [then] your descendants also could be numbered.

17 “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

4 Key Questions for self-examination and preparation

1) What are the strategic things which I see God doing in my life these days?

2) What are the things I need to leave behind me, refusing to carry as burden that slows me down, so that I can move forward?

3) What is the strategic vision which I must receive from the Lord in order to move forward?

4) What are the strategic prayers I need to be praying?

--according to the principle:

 ASK-SEEK-KNOCK

Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

These 10 days leading up to this year’s Rosh Hashanah is a season to

--ASK the Lord to give us His Kingdom Vision for us; to

--SEEK the vision so that we may find it; to

--KNOCK at the (shut) doors (of the spirit realm) so that they may be opened to us, that we may enter into God’s destiny for our lives!
