Generation Fire is a international movement contending for a generation to carry and spread the fire of God.

We do this through a lifestyle of hosting his presence fuelled by Worship & Prayer furnaces , gatherings of revivalists and sending teams to nations. 

 

Here I am, send me.

It has almost been 7 months since my return here to Sydney from Missions in the Philippines and though I have welcomed and loved the much needed respite and time with family and friends, my heart for mission has never left the Philippines. There will be days I would yearn to be back at the mission fields to share the gospel, God's love to the lost and to continue in Kingdom Building.

I am now very excited to announce that I am in transition, preparing, praying and re-focusing on going back as the Lord has confirmed that I am to return in February 2015. And I praise God for favour with such a cheap ticket on promo.

With the flight booked and less than two months counting, I am starting to dream again of where God will lead me and places where the next adventure of working for God's Kingdom will be.

It is my prayer that wherever God would lead me, that He would guide me, lead me and be with me ... I am reminded As the scripture promises.... He will be with us wherever we will go till the end of time.

 

I dream of prayer furnaces being reignited and once again re-connecting with those that have a heart to see the fire of God be set ablaze in their heart.

I look forward to Reforming and streghthening the seeds sown in building a genfire team to see furnaces continue once a month
With the focal point of emphasising prayer and worship and the importance of sitting at the feet of Jesus.

I dream of sharing God's love to orphans and the fatherless, children who are longing for a love that can only be filled by the Father.

I am readying my heart for Emergency Response and relief operations in places where calamities have been hit.

And I look forward to be able to revisit the ministries I have left behind from the last mission trip and see how they have progessed, youth bible studies in Kalayaan, childrens feeding program in Kale Kalaklan, Young Adults Ministry in Olongapo as well as 
touching base with youth ministry i handled and is now thriving by God's grace with new leadership. I also am excited to visit and reestabliah street evangelism at banicain slum areas.

I also pray to go back to Tacloban, where the devastation of Yolanda super typhoon hit last year. To see the progress and development and be a part of community rebuilding.

There are also ministries opportunities like teaching in CSB women bible study And praying if i will be fit to formally take on a role as Missions Coordinator in Wordcomm Olongapo.

I also again look forward to again preaching and teaching in churches.


It is my prayer that this mission trip would again be that of a personal one. In the sense that my in heart of hearts wherever I go and whoever I meet and minister to, that I be able to share just how wide long and deep The love of the Father is and to know this love that surpasses all understanding.
...That through the Words of Christ, His gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit, they will have a life transforming all encompasing love encounter with Jesus Christ the Savior.

This is my prayer and my hearts desire. That this mission trip would be filled with love and grace overflowing from the Father to each and everyone in everyone God would send me to.

Here I am Lord, send me.

Medical Mission

 

Medical mission- In partnership with wordcom and samaritana transformational ministries (Vision is women in transformed communities becoming whole and free in Christ towards prostitution-free societies. Build, model and empower communities that embrace vulnerble women and survivors of prostitution, enabling their transformation.

A team of Doctors, Dentists and Optometrist, were able to attend to 160 patients from payatas- a community site similar to the environment of smokey mountain. 

We were also able to provide medication, eye glasses, dental hygiene, food and also address their spiritual and emotional needs. 

It was a blessing to be a part of the team to organise the event and help with counselling for this medical mision. Always a priviledge to meet and listen to many whose lives are a testimony to the faithfulness of our great God.

Since arriving in the Philippines I've been anticipating and preparing my heart for the work God has for me to do, the people he would lead me to minister and share the good news of the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Coming back here, I've had the usual set backs in the first weeks, feelings of homesickeness, hopelessness as you get caught up in the reverse culture shock of again adapting to the environment of Manila- the traffic, the heat, the stormy weather (bagyo), the pollution, the noise, the new place of stay, the ways here that are so different to Sydney the comfortable lifestyle I'm usually used to in our abundance in Australia is nowhere to be seen here. 

But with all that, after the initial weeks of readjusting and adapting, I again begin to find my love for the country, my call to serve here and my mission to reach out to those God would lead me to share His love and faithfulness.

Since coming home, I have been reconnecting with old friends that I have ministered to and reaching out to those who live where I stay the Kalayaan compound. Comprising of a small community a squatter area composed of different statures of people, some well off compared to others,but many not so well off and just getting by with the means they find everyday to make money.

Fellowship and friendship is the start of ministering to them, and as much as possible i try to give time, to listen to them, eat with them, and try to help in small ways like give some needs they might have for their children i.e. shoes, clothes, food. With these little acts I hope to estsblish relationship that will oneday lead to inviting them to regular bible studies.

Kalayaan Ministries will be starting this Saturday. After waiting approval from the Baragany Captain and head of the association of the compound, getting their permission and signature on the letter I wrote, we can now start this saturday the ministry that we had been oraying for and wanting to start since 2 years ago.

We hope to hold this forthnightly in the next coming months, it will be a children's feeding as well as bible study lessons and activities like arts and craft, games and film showing on ocassions.

There are around 28 children, many of them fatherless. There is also a huge potential to reach out to the young single moms whose kids will be attending the program.

Wordcom church olongapo

In the past few weeks i have been meeting with the Pastor of WCC olongapo- pastor elemer, we discuss the needs of the church and he expresses that they are in need of help in building up the ministries.

The church has great potentioal to grow. It is currently in a transition stage of moving from one place of worship to another. They need help in building up their ministries and so I am assisting in trainings, and handling the youth and young pro ministry.

I can sense a great opportunity to start up furnaces and gathering wherein we can reignite the fire of these young people as we provide a place for them where they can come seek God in prayer and soak in His presence in worship, something i feel the young people need and are thirsty for. I pray for fire to come down on us.

Last sunday I also had the priviledge of being a guest speaker at WCC Olongapo. It's always a joy to visit this church, they are a warm bunch and love to worship God with gladness in their hearts despite the floods they have had to overcome this rainy season. I truly believe greater things are yet to come for this church.

Children's Feeding/Community outreach

We have also started our fortnightly feeding at Olongapo Cali. It will be a community outreach held every 2 weeks, reaching out to 100 kids both in community and at church.

We hope to continue this in the next months holding bible study lessons for the children, activities and games for them also in the hope that we will also be able to minister and reach out to the parents while we hold the feeding and programs for their children.

It is such a joy to watch the little children eat and enjoy the food we share with them, as well as their response and interaction with us and one another. They are a happy bunch despite their circumstances, masaya ang ma nga bata kahit mahirap lang sila. It's a a blessing to see how they appreciate even the smallest things and are contented with simple things.

Hi all, 

I have had trouble with logging into my squarespace apsince i Got back here in Philippines. I haven't been able to make a single posting to update on the work that's been happenning here. Now all is fixed (big thanks to Donny) and I will be able to blog and update in the next coming days, so look out for some pics and stories soon to be posted! 

Acts 13 Moment

Another awesome Genfire gathering where we were all sinking in an ocean of God's grace, indeed, “how the Father loves us so, oh how the Father loves us so”.

I feel so blessed to be able to go to what would be my last genfire gathering for a long time and receive an impartation of the Holy Spirit. 
It was a great confirmation as Donny asked me to go to the front to share what's on my heart about missions in the Philippines and that after they would pray for me to send me out.
Donny mentioned in his prayer that someone had prophesised to him that we will have an Acts 13 moment and on the 13th of July 2013 on the 7th month of the 7th year of Genfire, we experienced that Acts 13, at that very moment as all eyes closed, hands raise towards me, I felt the empowering of the Holy Spirit as they lifted me up in prayer. They, “Set me apart for God to do the work to which He has called me".
It was a testimony of God's goodness and call upon my life. I was prayed for and layed hands on by the congregtion as God commissioned me, I felt their blessing as they sent me out to the mission field, being a representative of Generation Fire to “go” and preach the gospel.

It has always been my hearts desire to be a missionary and to have a sending body that will support and affirm the call and work that I do for God in the Philippines. I felt like God honoured that night the desires of my heart.

When we finished praying, Judy went on to play another set of worship songs, and as I headed back to my seat, one by one, brother's and sister came up to me to share a Word that God had given them to show me. It was truly encouraging…

A sister told me of how she believes, Acts 13 was really a Word for me and that I should read it especially the part where Paul and Barnabas was confronted by a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus and that I should be aware of any opposition that would hinder me, and to be reminded that I would have the protection, authority and the power of God to overcome them as Paul fought this evil as he was filled with the Holy Spirit told Bar-jesus that he will lose his sight, for the hand of the Lord is against such a man who peverts his right ways.

Another sister came up to me to share her vision, and it was also affirmed with the song that was being sang at that very moment as she approached me, 
“There is power in the name of Jesus, To break every chain, to break every chain, to break every chain”…
As everyone chanted over and over, she told me of a vision she had seen of me in chains and that God has freed me from these chains on my hands and feet…and that these chains would be used in my minitry and for my ministry.
She also saw God placing a crown on my head, and she believes this is God's favour upon my life and that I also need to ask the Father to receive this favour.

A brother also came up to me and affirmed the vision of our sister as he gave me the verse Deut. 28:5 where it says, Blessed shall be your basket and your store. Another sister then came up to me hugged me and lifted me up in prayer.

Then a brother came up to me and gave me verses from Psalm 89 and 
Psalm 19. He said that God pursues me just like a groom goes after His bride, that it was so with God, He was pursuing me and that I should not step back. As a husband woes his wife, so with God who draws us in with his love.

The whole night was just filled with awesome spirit and truth filled worship, fellowship and love of brothers and sister in Christ as the Holy Spirit's fire was being set ablaze in our hearts. We basked in the presence of our Lord and drank from His well. I will truly miss our genfire gatherings when I go back to Philippines.

Extravagant is the love of the Father!

Our God who is able!

 We are certain as christians and blessed with a faith that can believe that our God is a great and omnipotent God who is able to do anything. Paul says it so explicitly....

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Eph. 3:20-21

Yes! Our God is able! We have come to believe that in our faith, we know in our hearts that God is able to do anything for us. He is able to break through for us. He is able to give us the miracle we have been waiting for. Whether it is healing power, financial break through, restoration for our soul or move a mountain for us.... Our God is able.

If he can conquer sin for us and save us from the wages of death, redeem us to new life and victoriously claim for us an inheritance of eternal life in heaven...if He was able to do that... then what more answer a simple prayer for our simple needs today.

God is able! But why even knowing that full well...why, even understanding that and believing that in faith...that God is ever so able... why do we still fail to trust that He really can!?? Why do we still cowar or become anxious? Why do we still fear and stress, why do we still get depressed and worry about our petty little problems. Why after praying for God to help us we still go about our everyday worrying that we have to make a way for ourselves, we have to do it for ourselves and struggle to try to do something when we cannot...when all along we know that we have ask our God for help who is able to come through for us. Why are we still wimpering and wallowing in fear and worry?

Why? Because we forget... that our God is not only able.... but our God.... is also "willing". It is not a question of whether God is able but whether God is willing- so it's a question of God's heart, God's desire and willingness to do for us what we can never ever do for ourselves...what we are powerless and unable to do. Because God LOVES US with an everlasting love he is willing to listen to us and help us...

1 John 5:14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thes.5:24 

OUR great and good God is not only ABLE but WILLING to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. He is ready able and willing to heal us today, restore our depraved and desparate soul's, satisfy our every need... and redeem us from the pit of pits to save us and intoduce us to an abundant life of love in eternity with Him in heaven.

He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lord- His name is Jesus! Jesus! And he is at your door knocking, waiting... for the day you open the door and let him into and through your heart. :-) For the day you say lord I cannot, and only you can...for the day you admit and accept that you are unable to save yourself. For the day you start believing that God is not only able but willing...because he is a God who is ever so full of mercy and grace.

Our God is able! Our God is willing! Our God is love!

The Father's Heart - Missions Heart

Missions  Perspectives: Understanding The Heart of the Father

Imagine being a parent or some of you may already be parents, fathers, mothers; 

Can you stand to see your child hungry, cold, scared, needing shelter, clothing, food? Can you imagine them asking you for help? Can you imagine them suffering injustice, discrimination, violence, rejection?Can you imagine them afraid and calling out to you in tears?

Will you not help them? Would you not answer if they cried out to you? Would you not look for your child if they went missing?

If that is how an earthly parent would feel, if that is how we feel for our own children imagine what our Father in heaven, our Creator feels for them?

Imagine how broken his heart must be for His lost children?

God seeks to save us - He hears the cries of His beloved lost children. God so loved the world.

Now imagine your child now not only hungry and needy, or lost but imagine your child dying? Would you not do and give everything you have to save them?

Well that is exactly what God the Father did. He sent his only begotten Son to seek and save us, it was His demonstration of His Love for all the world.

He gave us a Savior through which all the lost would find life and life in abundance!

Just like Christ was sent to tell us the good news to bring hope and salvation to the lost and the dying,

We are called to go and preach and bring them the good news of hope in Christ Jesus.

Today the work of Christ's saving grace is alive in the Power of the Holy Spirit and today we are the carriers of that Holy Spirit, we are the vessels through which people can hear the good news and find Life, Love, Truth and the Way!

How can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14

We are to GO and and be the hands and feet of Jesus. We have a mandate, to seek and save the lost, to love them, share the good news and give them hope.

We are to feed the hungry, help take care of the needy for religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:35-37

We are the hope and light of the world today. We are who God could be sending to save a life.

I read someonewhere that we as christians have heard the gospel 3 or more times while there are people out there who have not even heard it once. How can we be ok with that?

Sometimes we lose sight in our complacency and comfortable homes and churches we forget, we are unaware that there is an emergency, there is an urgency, children are dying in third world countries every 8 secs, all around the world poverty, injustice, violence, crime rates are increasing by the second. And we can sit blindly unaware, or perhaps aware but have learned to shut turn a blind eye.

What is your heart? Is it the Heart of the Father's? Can you hear the heart's cry of the Father? And would you make your heart intune to His?

We are inviting you to partner with us, pray with us, on God's mission, to partake of the work and to take on the Challenge to "go", save a life for Jesus, in His mighty Name!
